The Nuke is a one-time-use turret that is used to obliterate large groups of enemies. Tactics It is capable of destroying most Goblocks. However, there are some which could withstand such a shot. These enemies include the Giant, Warlord, and Decoy. Static defenses in Block Fortress are everything! As powerful as the player gets, they will still need to arm their base to the teeth with these upgradable weapons. More powerful towers are unlocked as the player progresses in rank. One power unit supplied by a Power Block is needed to operate these defenses.
Posted: 12 AprilSeasons after Fall is a slow platformer. You walk slow, turn around slow, jump slow, and if you hit the corner of a ledge while jumping your character will slowly climb up. The main gimmick of switching seasons plays a slow animation. If you have to interact with an object in a certain season then you have to switch to the season, wait for an orb to fly to the object, wait for an animation showing that the object is now able to be used, and then wait for the object to do what you want it to do. Since you're forced to backtrack several times in the course of the game, and since the effects of these objects often disappear if you change seasons, you are also forced to wait through all of these animations again on your second time through the level. There are only five sections in the game. You start out by visiting four of them.
You then visit those four again, but this time you go to the fifth location in between each of the other locations. Then you have to return to the first four locations for a third time to complete the next step of the main mission. If you are going for the true ending and fail to realize that it requires a collectible from each of these areas you can end up needing to return for a fourth time. This means that, at best, you are going to be traversing the first four areas three times (two of those times you are forced to walk back out of the areas after completing your goal) and visiting the fifth area four times. Re-using levels is nothing new to video games, but this just gets boring after a couple hours.Seasons after Fall is a good looking game and its story is mildly entertaining, but that does nothing to alleviate the headache caused by the combination of slow gameplay and constant backtracking.
